Jessica Linn here! Introducing myself, my life, my dreams, and why I decided to attempt this whole blogging thing π
First question… where am I from? A little bit of all over. The first 18 years were spent in different places on the East. (North Carolina, Hawaii, New Jersey, Ohio) I finally made it out West in 2015! Where do I live now? A little bit of all over again. Although I have a house in Denver, a very good chunk of my time is spent on the road! These past 6 months alone I’ve been to over 10 different states, both oceans, and put almost 100,000 miles on my vehicles! My adventure partner (a little pup named Bella Bear), and I have climbed mountains, swam in rivers, hiked in the dessert, snowboarded through back country, and much more. πΆππ»π
How and why do I have so much time to travel? Long story short, I work. I work quite a bit. I also spent the last 4 years working my butt off to set my career up the way it currently is. I own franchises in Denver, Salt Lake City, and Seattle. This means I make my own schedule, a lot of the work can be done from my computer, and I have to drive between those three places. This gives me lots of time to see what I want to see and go where I want to go. ππ³
Why did I start this blog? A couple of different reasons! I’ll preface It by saying… I am NOT, by any stretch of the imagination, a writer. But I really love to write. It’s an outlet for creativity and for stress. Although my journal is (and probably will always be) very private- I want to write things that I can share. π (also I have a dream to write a book…. π)
I’ve also been trying to learn A LOT. I believe it’s so important to exercise your mind and truly learn as much as you can, especially when you’re not in school. Not to mention, I’m by myself 95% of the time… so it keeps me thinking and talking. (Yes, I talk to myself π€·πΌββοΈ) I’ve been spending any free time reading books, listening to podcasts, and doing research on subjects I’m interested in. I want to share that! I want to be able to write about interesting things I’ve learned, because they just might interest or educate or excite someone else!
I have also spent a lot of time really learning what it means to “love yourself” and “create your own dream life”. It’s taken time, dedication, and truly wanting to see the difference. It’s taken years of really working at It, to feel as happy as I do now. To truly feel satisfied with my world. To truly believe I have the ability to be what I want and do what I want. To feel as though I actually can make a difference in this world. I feel like I’m only just beginning on this journey and I’d love to share what I’m experiencing with everyone. I want to share my stories and my adventures. If they can make even one person smile, it’s worth it 110%.
Everyone’s journey and dream life are going to look different. My goal is to share mine with the universe and hopefully in the process inspire someone to chase after theirs. ππ«πΈπβ€οΈ
